The Tourmaline Charged Skin Refiner is Aveda’s alternative to microdermabrasion. It is an exfoliating facial scrub with creamy texture. Formulated with extracts of bamboo and tourmaline in powder form, this product successfully removes skin-clogging and skin-dulling cells. The result is a smoother, more radiant skin with improved complexion and no redness and irritation.

These results are achieved by your esthetician’s mechanical action and manipulation of the product  on the skin. Although Tourmaline Charged Skin Refiner may not be suitable for every skin, talk to your esthetician and he/she will determine whether it will be beneficial for you.

How is it different form other refiners?

Tourmaline – this formula contains powdered Tourmaline, a naturally energizing mineral that amplifies the performance of other ingredients.
Bamboo – removes the dull skin cells during the mechanical process of exfoliation.
Clary Sage – aids in increasing the cell turnover process
Sucrose – acts as an anti-irritant

Other beneficial ingredients – Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lycopene, Glyceryn and Sodium Hyaluronate ( moisturizing properties ).
