A: Craniosacral therapy is a gentle-touch massage along the spine, as well as head to tailbone. Its purpose is to enhance the function of the craniosacral system, which is the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the spinal cord and the brain. It is a preventative therapy that aims to improve the functions of the central nervous system.

Q: Who is Craniosacral therapy recommended for?
A: The therapy could be beneficial in many situations, including cases of:
• immune imbalances
• congestion
• inflammation
• jaw tension & headaches
• chronic neck & back pain
• post-traumatic stress disorder
• certain motor dysfunctions
• chronic fatigue
• nerve impingement

Q: How often should Craniosacral Therapy be performed?
A: It can be integrated into your Swedish massage, or performed as a focus session.
Normally, a series of 3-10 sessions is recommended.

Q: Where can I read more about Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

Tension occurs in the body when one tightens up or tries to resist injury from daily repetitive activity such as:
-sitting too long with bent knees
-striking a keyboard with bent wrists too fast and continuously
-leaning forward with shallow breathing that closes off the ribcage muscles
-new ways of moving in a sport or responding to a necessity

Tension symptoms are:
-tightness
-stiffness
-aches
-pains

For each client, I perform a customized sensory journey to determine what aroma will be the most balancing. In addition, my massage techniques and guided deep breathing can relieve tension symptoms.

Knowing which muscles to release and open, I can help you with counterforce techniques such as Swedish Still Touch, Energy Vector Release (Craniosacral therapy technique), and Deep Tissue Compressions.
It is never too late to get a massage!

Aveda Blue Oil is a stress-relieving concentrate that contains balancing
aromas of refreshing peppermint and soothing blue camomile. This product is great for on-the-spot cooling accupressure therapy.

To relieve headaches or stress, apply on the temples and gently massage.
To relieve muscle tension, apply on the spot and massage.

Blue Oil Benefits:

  • Revives tired muscles
  • Relieves body aches
  • Invigorates the senses
  • As portable as a lipstick

I use Blue Oil in more than half of the massages I perform.
It is one of my top sellers.
